With comfortable furnishings, great facilities, and stunning surroundings, 1 Springfort Cottages is the perfect self-catering accommodation for any holiday or short break in Newton Reigny.
OUR FACILITIES
Off-road parking for up to four cars and secure bike storage can be found at the rear of the property, before unloading your bags in the hallway and storing away any boots and coats.

After a long day of exploring the lakes, enjoy a drink in the enclosed garden or relax in the lounge on our comfy corner sofa in front of the wood burning stove and catch up on your favourite shows on our smart TV.

Rustle up a feast in the kitchen, amply equipped with all of the essentials for your short break, including an electric range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a washing machine, so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe!

As you while away the hours, venture upstairs to the bedrooms. The semi-detached cottage sleeps up to six guests with a king size, double, and twin room available, each equipped with fresh linen and towels ready for your stay.

We welcome pets and children and can provide a travel cot and highchair upon request.
OUR LOCATION
1 Springfort Cottages sits within the little hamlet of Newton Reigny in Cumbria.

When you are ready to explore, head into the town of Penrith where you will find the fascinating ruins of the 14th century Penrith Castle. Unravel history at the Penrith and Eden Museum or venture to Mayburgh Henge to discover the historical sites of Eden Millennium Monument and King Arthur’s Round Table.

Ullswater, the second largest lake in the national park is just a short distance away. Surrounded by stunning scenery and gentle hills, this is a wonderful spot for walking or water-based activities such as cruises or canoeing. You can also take a sail on Ullswater’s steamer just six miles away to explore many valleys carved during the last ice age or scale the heights of Helvellyn and enjoy the wonderful views awarded at the summit.

Nearby is the magnificent town of Keswick, home to many fascinating attractions including the Derwent Pencil Museum, and the bustling city of Carlisle, where you can visit the impressive 12th century Carlisle Castle.

Had a lovely comfortable stay. Everything we needed was here, bed was very comfortable too. Visited Aira falls and Buttermere Lake, both great walks.

The cottage is warm and cosy, has everything you would possibly need and is well located away from the throngs of the Lakes and Northern Pennines.
